How to get your email after the upgrade to Exchange 2010 has completed
We strongly recommend reviewing and saving these instructions in a document. These instructions are for customers undergoing an upgrade to Exchange 2010.
You must know your password!
If you do not know your password, please contact your Administrator for a password reset. Passwords cannot be set over the phone.
When the upgrade completes, all desktop clients (Outlook, Entourage, Mac Mail) will prompt you to restart your email client. See below for more detailed instructions.
Mobile devices will not work until you remove the existing account and create a brand new Exchange email connection using the email address and password. Specific instructions are included below.
Mobile Devices (iPhone, Android, Windows Mobile)
Mobile device users will need to configure their device with new Exchange server information.
Blackberry mobile device users will first need to backup, then wipe their device, and then perform an activation and synchronization with our upgraded hosting environment. Users will receive an activation email following completion of your company’s data synchronization. Instructions for these activities can be found here:
What to do if you can’t connect to your email
In most cases, simply restarting your mail client after the upgrade will restore your access to email. Below is information on how to configure your wireless devices and computers.

If you are unable to connect using you desktop application, you can use the web based email client at https://email.hostaccount.com and login with your email address and password.

Automatic Configuration Experience for Outlook 2007, 2010, and 2013:
Outlook users will see a “Disconnected” message in the status bar. A message will pop up twice, indicating that an administrator has made a change to your mailbox and will need to restart Outlook.
Once you restart Outlook, you will get prompted for your credentials.
Outlook will also display a prompt indicating that Outlook was redirected to a hostaccount.com domain to get Outlook configuration settings. Be sure to check the box labeled “Always use my response for this server” or “Don’t ask me about this website again” and press the “Allow” button.

If automatic Outlook configuration is not successful — that is you typed in your email address and password, and it prompted your for server and other information — then you will need to configure your Outlook client manually.
